She graduated from Belt Valley High School in May 1941 and then attended secretarial school in Great Falls. Thelma met Rudy Harms when he was stationed at Malmstrom Air Force Base. A courtship ensued and they were married at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in September 1945.
Thelma worked at Cascade County Farmers Mutual Insurance retiring as manager in February 1988 after 40 years of service. She was a member of MAMIC and NAMIC the local and national mutual insurance companies. In addition she supported Rudy in his Elks and Optimist clubs and was a long standing member of Meadow Lark Country Club. Thelma enjoyed caring for her family and sharing her life with their many friends and neighbors.
