Thelma E. Reffert, 91 passed away Monday August 10, 2015 in Beech Grove. She was a resident of Beech Grove and formerly of Pittsburgh, PA. She was born August 15,1923 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to John and Freda (Moritz) Grimes.
She was a homemaker. Thelma enjoyed baking, being a seamstress, and going to the senior center where she was very active and considered the cheerleader at the center. She loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Thelma will be missed.
Survivors include, three children, Darlene (Thomas) Steele of Ohio, Linda Marpes of Pennsylvania and Sharmayne (Joel) Silverman of Greenwood, brother, Bill Grimes of Florida, six grandchildren, Bree, Ashely, Mindee, Melanie,Tamarah and Jenna and 13 great-grandchildren, Tyler, Luke, Peyton, Jaedon, Haylee, Aadyn, Zion,Elenai, Eden, Ava, Olivia, Elliott, Aralyn.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, John A. Reffert in 1990, son-in-law, John Marpes, sister, Dorothy Plank, and two brothers, Albert and Jack Grimes.
