Loving Mother and Grandmother

Thelma Dawn Lussier, age 84, of Milford and Waterbury, beloved wife of the late Arthur Lussier, Jr., passed away peacefully on Friday, September 10th, 2021.

She was born on April 21, 1937 in Washburn, Maine and was the daughter of the late Bernam and Dorothy (Boone) Baker. Mrs. Lussier was a shipping supervisor for the former Chase Brass and Copper in Waterbury for many years. After retirement, she kept herself busy with her many hobbies and working as an aid for the Waterbury School System. She was a devoted communicant of St. Joseph’s Parish, a member of the Ladies Guild, enjoyed singing in the choir and volunteered for many events. Mrs. Lussier was an avid reader and crocheter, which all her family has received “A Work of Art” made by Thelma.

She is survived by her devoted daughters, Robyn Lussier of Milford and Deanna Burns and her husband, Jack of Prospect, two grandchildren, Alicia Mancinone and her husband Adam of Southbury,  Jacklyn Essex and her husband Chuck of Stamford and her great granddaughter, Gianna Mancinone.  Her son, Arthur “Ricky” Lussier predeceased her. She also leaves her sister, Carol Valenti of Waterbury, her sister-in-law, Carol Garbukas of Prospect, her sister-in-law, Elaine Tiganella of Willmington, NC, her brother-in-law, Paul Lussier of Prospect and several nieces and nephews including her niece Kim Paternostro of Waterbury, whom she referred to as her daughter and her beloved dog, Ellie.
