Tharon Dennis Brown was born on December 20, 1967 in Dallas, Texas, the second child born of Doris McKinnies and Samuel Ridge. Mr. Brown was raised playing in the fields, rabbit hunting with his older brother, Richard Lee Wesley, along with his younger brother, Joe Shane McKinnies. Doing the job of the “Big Brother,” they tortured their youngest sister, Racheal McKinnies, to make sure that she was just as tough as the boys. She was the only girl, so that was their way of showing their little sister some love. Outdoors was where you could find Tharon! He loved outdoor sports, and had a passion for football. He was a stellar athlete and his strive for success on the field earned him several acknowledgements in the form of trophies, awards, and also MVP of the week. In addition, Tharon also was a dedicated Boy Scout. He never forgot to attend any of the many activities of his Boy Scout troop! He displayed his full potential as a scout by earning patches, badges, pens and more. When he became old enough to drive, Tharon got behind the wheel and from that point it was like pulling teeth to get him out of the driver’s seat! He loved driving. He also enjoyed music and dancing. He loved it so much he would even make all of his nieces and nephews get up at the crack of dawn to just to sing, Barbara Lewis’, “Hello Stranger”! In 1989, Tharon moved from Dallas, Texas to Denver, Colorado. Tharon became the proud father of three beautiful children, Baronieca, Tharon II, and Natondria, with his High School Sweetheart. His heart’s desire was to marry the mother of his children; however, that was not to be. Later, Tharon met and fell in love with Debra Taylor. He accepted her four children as his own, as she did the same with his three children. He was later blessed to be able to welcome his grandchildren into the world. His legacy remains and lives on with 11 grandchildren, Jo-Cyiah, Aquashanea, Jh’Loiney, Makayla, Johna, Elizha, Kalen, Kaleal, Esi, Korinthia, and Ariel. His legacy and wisdom shall continue to grow in the arms of his children and grandchildren.
