Tha-Belle Faye Ramseur, 69, of Middletown, passed away on Wednesday, November 3rd at Middlesex Hospital after a long illness. Born in Hickory, NC, she was the daughter of the late Mr. Johnson Ramseur and Ms. Blanche (Cooper) Mobley. Faye had lived in Middletown for the last twenty years moving from New York City to care for her ailing sister, Frances. Faye graduated from Ridgeview High School in Hickory, NC in 1959 where she was a star basketball player. She had a mystical, creative spirit that transcended all boundaries cultural, racial, political and interpersonal and was a “deeply” feeling person. If she loved you, she would “always” tell you so. If there was a dislike, you would also know. Faye was extremely creative and very proficient in solving puzzles, freehand drawing and scrap booking. She leaves fond memories in the hearts of family and friends that she loved. These include her nephews, Michael Harshaw, Rev. Robert Knight and Antonio Knight; her nieces, Jewel Wilson and Princess Knight, all of NC; her Middletown family and caregivers, nephew, John Butler and his sons, Jerell and Justin, cousins, Joyce Jones and her daughter Jaimila, Wilma and Ronnie Harrell and her daughters, Shannon and Jazmine and granddaughter, Sahrai, who was born on the same day as Faye, December 2nd. She also leaves her cherished friends, Lynn, Daniel, Rosa, Eva, and Myrna. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Ms. Francis Butler and a special niece, Ms. Betty J. Hill.
