Teymour Kehyari, a resident of Kalamazoo, MI since 1973, passed away from cancer at Rose Arbor on May 20, 2019 surrounded by his wife and loving friends. He was 70 years of age. Teymour was born in Iran; came to this country as a young man. He attended both Lake MI College and WMU. During the course of his education, he made weekly treks to Chicago working in fine dining establishments as a way to support himself.

After graduation, his career life entailed hotel/restaurant management as well as hazardous waste supervision. He was social, made friends easily. and was always the first to offer a helping hand. He could fix anything. Cooking was a passion; many a friend reaped the benefits of one of his Persian feasts. Preceding him in death were his parents Amanolah and Irandokht Kehyari. Surviving is his loving wife of 18 years, Mary Goriesky, brothers Touradj (Judy) and Tahmoures, sisters Shahla and Lida.

He is also survived by Luigi, his faithful cat that provided much comfort, especially in these last few months.

A special word of thanks goes to Perry Eslami and his wife Kathy. A friend like a brother, he accompanied him onthe frequent trips to U of C these past 3 years to undergo experimental treatment. He served as a translator for family and was a source of strength to all. And thanks goes to U of C’s Dr. O’Donnell and team.

With their science and Teymours strong will to live, he was gifted with more time. In appreciation of Teymour’s care at Rose Arbor Hospice donations may be made in his honor.
