Mr. Terry Wayne Lunsford of Newnan passed away Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at his home surrounded by his family. Terry, often called “Lump” and “Luns” by many friends, was born July 5th, 1943 in Macon, Ga to the late James W. Lunsford, and Bunie Denney Lunsford. Terry grew up in Hogansville, Georgia and was a 1962 graduate of Newnan High School. He attended University of Georgia and Georgia State College and served in the National Guard. For most of his career, he was employed by William L. Bonnell Company until his retirement in 2007. Terry enjoyed life to the fullest.
After retirement, often you would find him on the golf course, fishing in the gulf, cooking for his friends and family, or building something in his workshop. Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his brother Galen Lunsford and Charlie (Chuck) Lunsford. Terry is survived by his wife of 47 years, Frances Ellis Lunsford, his daughter, Terry Melinda Chadwick (Chuck), son Scott Lunsford (Charlotte), his sister Melanie Lunsford Nowell, and grandchildren, Joseph Terry and Katherine Chadwick, and Ida Lee, Sarah and Yates Lunsford as well as many nieces and nephews.
