Terry Wayne Feight 73 of Lake Floyd passed away on Wednesday June 19, 2019 at the Louis A Johnson VA Medical Center. He was born July 24, 1945, in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, the son of John and Iva Mast Feight. He graduated from Liberty High School in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania in 1963. Terry was very active in the Boy Scouts of America where he obtained the rank of Eagle Scout and was a Vigil member of the Order of the Arrow.
He attended Salem College from 1963-1967. In 1967 he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Humanics from Salem College. After graduation, he worked for the Boy Scouts in Du Bois, Pa.
In 1968 he was drafted. He served from 1968-1969 he obtained the rank of Staff Sargent. He was decorated with the Bronze Star with Valor for heroism during ground combat; in addition, he received a Purple Heart and Air Medal. He served with Company A, 2/16, Infantry 1st Infantry Division in Vietnam.
After discharge he returned to Salem College and earned and additional BA degree. He furthered his education at Marshall University, where he earned a MA degree in Art. He then returned to Salem College, as an Associate Professor in the Art and Industrial Arts Department.
He married Karen Warner Feight in 1975, at the home of his brother-in-law Dr. J.B. and Roberta Wilfong.
In 1976 he left Salem College and started his own business in residential contracting.
In recent years he became very active in the Military Order of the Purple Heart. Where he served as Adjutant of Local Chapter of 418, as Junior vice Commander of the Department of WV.
He is survived by his wife, Karen Warner Feight of Bristol, WV; and a brother, David Feight, and his wife, Jeanne, of Naples FL; Along with his brother-in-law’s, Boyd L. Warner and Jeanne Warner of Bristol, WV, and their children – Boyd & Heidi Warner of Charleston, WV, Amberly Warner Wait of Bernie, Texas, Todd & Kimberly Warner of Charleston, WV, Bobby & Michelle Warner of Denver, Colorado; Dr. J.B. Wilfong and Roberta Wilfong of Clarksburg, WV, and their children – Dr.
