Terry Lee Metts, age 61, of Salem passed away unexpectedly Wednesday evening, August 24, 2016 at the Salem Regional Medical Center. He was born November 7, 1954 in Salem the son of the late Willis C. and Ruth J. (Kleinknecht) Metts. Terry was a 1973 graduate of Salem High School and received his B. S. of Business Administration from Y. S. U. and went on to work for Specialty Switch as a Production Supervisor for 25 years. His passion for coaching the youth of Salem began at the age of 15 and led him to being known as Coach, mentor, and friend to many as well as the former 10-year President of the Salem Junior Baseball League. Dedicated and hardworking, Terry was a loving father and husband who always put his family first.
Survivors include his wife, Debra (Walter) Metts, whom he married October 21, 1988; two sons, Tyler J. Metts of Morgantown, West Virginia and Dylan T. Metts of Salem; two sisters, Donna (Jim) Greenamyer and Diane (Joe) DesLauriers both of Salem and a brother, Robert Metts of Salem.
