Terry Lee McCutcheon was born October 28, 1955 in Superior, Nebraska to Lorna (Wilton) and Richard “Dick” McCutcheon, and an older sister, Wendy, who never stopped pestering him. He left for his Heavenly home on March 27, 2022 while surrounded by his family at his home.

Terry spent his younger years growing up in Colorado. His love for the mountains and elk hunting stayed with him all through his life, and he always rooted for his Denver Broncos. In 1969, his family moved back to Kansas and began farming with his grandad, Gail Hudiburgh. Terry graduated from Burr Oak High School in 1973, and Beloit Vo-Tech in 1974.

He was united in marriage with the love of his life, Janice Cockroft, in 1974. This union was blessed with three brats, Shane, Krystal and Justin. This continued on into what is now 7 generations of family farming, with his wife, kids and grandkids carrying on Sky Blue Farms. Starting with row crops with his grandad, he later spent several years with his family putting up big square bales of alfalfa before switching back to row crops. He and his family also raised registered Gelbvieh cattle for many years.

Terry loved golfing, and also riding trails all over the country, but mostly in Arizona, where he and Janice spent their winters.

Preceding him in death were his dad, Dick McCutcheon; infant brother; and his stepdad, Harold Wilton.

He is survived by his wife, Janice McCutcheon of Burr Oak, Kansas; son, Shane McCutcheon of Burr Oak; daughter, Krystal (Chad) Wulf of Guide Rock, Nebraska; son, Justin (Meggie) McCutcheon of Guide Rock, Nebraska; his mother, Lorna Wilton of Superior, Nebraska; 7 grandchildren just as ornery as him: Preston, James, Isabel, Colton, Rylan, Jazmyn, and Chase; a sister, Wendy Harris of Superior, Nebraska; nieces, nephews and a host of other family and friends.
