Terry E. Hermann, 72, of 207 N. Chambers St., Galesburg, died at 4:30 a.m. on Friday (July 11, 2008) at home.
Terry was born on October 18, 1935 in Batavia, the son of Gene and Anabelle Meade Hermann. He married Kathy J. Horst on July 27, 1974 in Galesburg. Surviving Terry are his wife, Kathy of Galesburg; 3 sons, Scott (Deb) of Camanche, IA, Bryan (Denise) and Doug (Carla) both of Clinton, IA; 3 daughters, Jill Hermann of Des Moines, IA, Mindy Ann Hermann of Galesburg, and Sheryl Lindell of Glenview; 2 sisters, Jean Ann Morris of Clinton, IL and Jackie (Jim) Williams of Four Seasons, MO. Also surviving are 5 grandchildren, Elise Hermann, Melanie (Mike) Anderson, Ashley (Chad) Haskell, Kylie Hermann, and Alexa Hermann; 7 step-grandchildren, Justine Smith, Jeramy Smith, Dustin Johnson, Nathan Johnson, Kendra Johnson, Sarah Anderson, and Katrina Anderson; and 4 great grandchildren, Skylar Jess, Madison Haskell, Kian Haskell, and Olivia Johnson. Terry was preceded in death by 1 brother Tom.
Terry was an extruder operator at Gates Rubber Co. for 23 years. He was a member of the United Rubber Workers Local 685. He served in the National Guard.
