Troy – Terry ‘Bull’ Connell Sr., 52, of Blakely Court died peacefully Thursday, January 15, 2015, at Samaritan Hospital after a brief illness.
Born in Troy, he was son of the late Thomas F. Connell III and Shirley Ann Davis Connell. He had resided in Troy all his life and was a graduate of Sacred Heart School, Troy High School class of 1980 and Hudson Valley Community College.
Terry was employed at the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance in Albany for the past 20 years.
He always met everyone with a big smile and was genuinely glad to see you. Terry was a devoted care giver of his parents during their declining years. He was there for them 24/7. Terry was a lifelong NY Yankees fan. His happiest times were spent sitting in the yard with his friends. He was also the ‘favorite uncle’ of his nieces and nephews. His son Terry was his pride and joy.
Survivors include his son, Terry P. Connell II, Albany; a sister, Patricia A. (Thomas) Murley, Troy; three brothers, David P. Connell Sr., Troy, Kevin P. (Colleen) Connell Sr., Troy and Timothy J. (Joan) Connell, Wynantskill. He was predeceased by a sister, Colleen M. Smith and a brother, Thomas F. Connell IV.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend an ‘Irish Wake’ at the American Legion 111 Main Avenue Wynantskill on Monday, January 19, 2015 from 3-7 PM.
