Terri Lynn Kopanski, 63, of Portage passed away on October 21, 2020. She was born September 28, 1957, in Grand Rapids to the late Jay and Edith (Bont) Piper.
Terri worked as a paraprofessional for Portage Public Schools and as a secretary at multiple churches. She will be remembered for her big heart and loving nature. She was the best mother; her family and friends meant the world to her. She was outgoing, making new friends wherever she went and loved to sing. Her loving God was at the center of her life.
Terri was preceded in death by her parents, Jay and Edith Piper; father-in-law, Ron Kopanski; and brothers-in-law, Mike Kopanski and Kevin Lowe.
She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Ron Kopanski; children, Christina Kopanski and Bryan Kopanski, both of Portage; sister, Jackie (Keith) Taylor of Grand Rapids; sister, Marilyn (Larry) Van Driesen of South Dakota; sister, Beth (Dave) Sharda of Zeeland; brother, Jay (Carol) Piper of Ludington; sister-in-law, Cindy (Mike) of Wisconsin; sister-in-law, Joanne Kopanski of North Carolina; brother-in-law, Tony (Susan) Kopanski of South Carolina; sister-in-law, Linda Blodgett of Grand Rapids; sister-in-law, Barbara Lowe of Grand Rapids; sister-in-law, Dawn (Corky) VanderGeld of Marne; as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
