Terry was born and raised in Denver, Colorado, the second of two sons raised by Dallice and Delia Johnson. He married Joan Musich on January 11, 1958, with whom he formed an inseparable bond for the next 60 years until her passing in 2018. Terry is survived by his children Jake, Tracy, and Joe, their spouses Nita and Matt; and his grandchildren, Olivia, Gabriel, Annalise and Olivea; and many nieces and nephews.
Terry was soft-spoken but funny and completely honest.
