Terry O’Reilly (Terrence Bernard Patrick O’Reilly) passed away on August 6, 2022 at 99 years of age. He was born in Huntsville, AL on April 17, 1923.
Terry was proud to be an American, and a Marine. He served in the U.S. Marine Corp. during World War II in the Pacific theater.
Terry worked for the U.S. Postal Service for over 35 years, and retired in April 1978.
After retirement, he became an avid golfer and played numerous courses throughout the United States. Terry played golf until he was 95 years old.
He is preceded in death by: parents Terry O’Reilly and Wilhelmina Schaub O’Reilly; daughter Kathy O’Reilly; and sisters: Pauline Manley, Elizabeth O’Reilly, Marie Coulter, Martha Campbell, and Margurite Owens.
Survivors include: his wife of more than 70 years, Fay O’Reilly; children: Dan (Kathy Wood) O’Reilly, Greg (Anita) O’Reilly, Pat (Kelly) O’Reilly, David (Anita) O’Reilly, Mike (Mary Helen) O’Reilly, Beth Morris, and Mary Ann (Roger) Blaxton; 17 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
