Terrence Odle, age 84, of DeMotte, IN passed away Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at Franciscan Health Rensselaer.
Terrence was born January 23, 1934 in Wheatfield, Indiana. He was the son of Daniel H. and Fanny D. (Lilley) Odle. Terrence attended Kniman Public Schools. He married Jeannette E. (Allen) on July 20, 1952 at the Kniman Methodist Church. Terrence was raised on a farm and then farmed for himself briefly. He retired from Bulkmatic after 20 years as a truck driver. He drove truck for 43 years total working for businesses such as: Eagle Food, TMX, Navajo Truck Lines, Jim Ide, and Hank DeKock trucking. Terrence was a member of the DeMotte United Methodist Church. When he wasn’t on the road driving, he enjoyed playing Pinochle with his wife and friends.
Terrence is survived by his wife: Jeannette Odle of DeMotte, IN; children: Terrence E. Odle of DeMotte, IN; Andrew D. (Linda) Odle of North Judson, IN; Jennifer D. (Michael) Hammons of DeMotte, IN; grandchildren: RaeAnn T. (Jimmy) Owens, Travis B. Odle, Meredith B. Hammons, Andrew D. Odle Jr; great-grandchild: JR Owens; sisters-in-law: Betty Odle, Francis Odle, Beverly Steinkamp; numerous nieces, nephews, other extended family members, lifelong friends & loving caregivers.
Terrence is preceded in death by his parents and siblings: Daniel W. Odle, Lorna E. Smith, and David N. Odle.
