Teri Kay Winters passed on peacefully at her home in Newnan, Georgia, Wednesday, October 20, 2021. Teri was born in Pampa, Texas on July 3, 1955. Teri worked ten years for the MKT Railroad in Sherman, Texas, then later in Georgia obtained a bachelor’s degree in Education and became a teacher. Teri also obtained a Master’s degree in Deaf Education from Georgia State and spent many years with the State’s Georgia Pines program as a parent advisor, working with infants with hearing and vision issues. Teri met her beloved husband Brian Griffith Farrier in March 1989, after which they married on May 19, 1990. Teri loved the water, whether it was the beach or sunset cruises on the lake. She was especially fond of Lake Martin, St. Simon’s Island and St. Joseph Peninsula State Park. Teri was dearly loved and will be missed by all those whose lives she touched during her journey through this world. Her love for God and Jesus was very strong. Her Christian faith carried her, and those around her, through her courageous eight month battle with cancer. Teri was preceded in passing by her parents Merle William Winters and Shirley Mae Winters, and her sister Debra Lynn Vick. She is survived by her nephew Todd Alan Thompson, his sons Kyle and Jared; her nephew Cory Dale Vick, his daughter Kayleigh, and her adopted nephews and niece Greg Thompson, Rogger Thompson, and Mya Thompson.
