Teresa Swanson, 83, of Glen Burnie passed away on February 9, 2016 at her residence. Terry was born on October 1, 1932 in County Clare, Ireland to the late Margaret (Quinn) and John Kenny. She attended Dysart School in County Clare, Ireland and lived at numerous military bases throughout the world. Terry worked as a cosmetologist for 12 years at Union Beauty Salon before she married, and was also a hostess at Hardees Restaurant for 12 years after her children were grown. She was a resident of Glen Burnie for the last 40 years. She was very active in her church, Holy Trinity and served as a Eucharistic Minister. Terry volunteered for numerous organizations including, Meals on Wheels, MADD, Diabetes Association and the March of Dimes. She enjoyed crocheting, ceramics, cake decorating, flower arranging, traveling and letter writing. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Mary (Kenny) Breheny, Martin Kenny, Bea (Kenny) Conca, Mick Kenny, Margaret Kenny, Eily (Kenny) O’Donohue, Jimo Kenny and Katty Kenny. Terry is survived by her beloved husband of 50 years, David Swanson of Glen Burnie; her two sons, Sean Swanson of Glen Burnie and Kevin Swanson and his wife, Alice Stewart of Thetford, VT; her granddaughter, Clare Swanson of Thetford, VT; and her sister, Ann Cervini of Providence, RI. She is also survived by 20 nieces and nephews.
