Teresa J. Haywood, 60, of Morgantown, passed away January 3rd, 2020 surrounded by her loving family.
A native of Franklin, Indiana, Teresa was born August 23, 1959 to the late Donald Arthur Abbott and Judith Ann (Norman) Abbott, who survives. She was married to Kenneth Haywood who was the love of her life.
Teresa was a member of Cottonwood Church in Brown County, she loved animals and fostered animals with Red Sky Rescue. She was instrumental in changing Brown County Animal Shelter to a “no-kill” shelter. She was considered a book of knowledge and was a helpful resource to many. She enjoyed spending time with her family and especially adored and loved spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Teresa was employed as a Manager at Town Mart in Morgantown for several years.
She is survived by her spouse Kenneth Haywood of Morgantown, IN; three children, Pepper Robertson (Arnettie) of North Vernon, IN, Alan Haywood (Taryn) of Morgantown, IN, and Dwayne Haywood (Tiffany) of Morgantown, IN; nine grandchildren; Charles, Dakota, Kendra, Hailey, Dominick, Adde Lynn, Oliver, Aubrielle and Henry; three great-grandchildren, Ezekiel, Xander and Kayden. her mother, Judith Abbott of Morgantown, IN; and three siblings, Coral Abbott of Indianapolis, IN, JoAnn Abbott of Indianapolis, IN, and Charles Abbott (Erica) of Indianapolis, IN.
She is preceded in death by her father, Donald Arthur Abbott.
