Teresa E. Pereira, 91, of Middletown and formerly of East Providence, RI, died at the Middlesex Health Care Center, Friday, October 12, 2007. She was born in Faial, Azores, daughter of the late Manuel P. and Theresa E. (Pereira) Jacinto. Miss Pereira lived in Middletown for the past 25 years, moving here from East Providence, RI. She is survived by her sister, Aida Sousa of Santa Maria, Portugal; her sister-in-law, Vielmina L. (Alves) DeSouto of East Providence, RI; three nephews, George Souto and his wife Renee of Middletown, Roy Souto and his wife Paula of Coventry, RI and Stephen Souto of Tucson, AZ; two nieces, Aida DiBenedetto and her husband Ernest of East Providence, RI, Helen Chemel and her husband Steven of Providence, RI; seven nieces and nephews in Canada and Portugal, nineteen grandnieces and nephews, and four great grandnephews and great grandnieces. She was predeceased by two brothers Manuel P. DeSouto and Jose Jacinto. A very special thank you to the entire staff at Middlesex Health Care Center for all the love, care and treatment that they provided to “Tia”.
