Teresa C. Sabo, 83, of Toms River, passed from this life peacefully on Tuesday, July 5, 2022 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Teresa was born April 10, 1939 in Jersey City, one of eleven children. She graduated from William L. Dickinson High School, Jersey City in 1957. She started out as a bookkeeper with Acme Corporate Offices, Newark, before marrying and finally settling in Englishtown with her husband, John and six children.
In addition to being a devoted full time mom, Teresa went on to work as a school bus driver for Yellow Duck Nursery in Englishtown and then was employed by Jamison and Son Bus Company, Englishtown, as transportation coordinator for 11 years.
Teresa is predeceased by her loving husband, John Sabo in 2009, devoted daughter Kathleen Sabo I 2021; her father, Frederick Kohli and Mother Mary Kelly; brothers, “Frederick Kohli, Edward Kohli, Peter Kohli and Francis Kohli; her sisters, Margaret Heinrich, Alice Scozzafava, Rita Kulinski, Mary Carroll and Catherine Hass.
Teresa is survived by her children, son, John Sabo and wife Jo0an of Whitehouse, Tennessee; daughters, Elaine Demas and husband Anthony of Newington, “Georgia; Teresa Quackenbush and husband Gregg of Leonardo; Elizabeth Bernstein and husband Kenneth of Toms River; Jean Watson and husband Richard of Union Beach.
She is survived by 14 grandchildren, Ashley, John, Sean, Rochelle, Keith, William, Stephanie, Danielle, Gregg, Jacob, Sydney, Haley, Maggie and Kasey.
