Tennie L. Tipton,82, of Marianna passed away on Saturday, December 3, 2011 at Signature Health Care at the Courtyard. She had a love for those she knew, not only family but many dear friends. She enjoyed cooking, canning, quilting and gardening, she was known to have a “green thumb”. Mrs. Tiptons grandchildren thought she was the greatest. She was preceded in death by her husband, C.B. Tipton, daughters Teresa Diane Case and Ida Louise Carter, six brothers and four sisters. Survivors include her son Charles R. Jarmon and wife Karen of Alford and daughter Marie Smith and husband, Donnie of Bascom; brother, Roy Perkins of Bascom; sisters- in-law Mrs. W.F. (Robbie) Perkins of Alford and Mrs. June (Virginia) Perkins of Grand Ridge; sisters Annie Mae Rehberg and husband Lannie of Marianna and Nancy Owens of Grand Ridge; eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; special friends, Doris Dunaway, Vera Sterley and Loretta Wright.
