Tempie Elvira (Stiles) Kallus, 81, of Holland, passed away on Tuesday, June 8, 2021, surrounded by her family at Ascension Seton Williamson in Round Rock, Texas.

Tempie was born on June 19, 1939, in Williamson County to Johnnie and Ora Lee (Pruitt) Stiles. She graduated Valedictorian of her class from Jarrell High School in 1957.  Mrs. Kallus married Daniel Kallus on June 19, 1960, in Granger and they were married for 48 years before he passed away in 2008. Tempie worked at a fertilizer plant for years before settling into a long career in banking at The First National Bank in Holland, Texas. She worked there for over 30 years before retiring. After retirement, Tempie volunteered at the Mayfield Library and Museum and was a substitute for Holland ISD. In her spare time, she enjoyed spending time with her family. She loved supporting her grandchildren and great-grandchildren at all their school activities and was always excited to attend their sporting events. Her other hobbies included reading, sitting on her front porch watching the birds come to her bird feeders, and taking care of her plants.

Tempie was preceded in death by her husband Daniel.

She is survived by sons Dan Kallus and his wife Kimberly of Temple and Johnny Kallus and his wife Sherry of Holland; daughter Tempie Labaj and her husband John of Granger; and sisters Celia Beard of Krum and Dorothy Wales of Florence. Also surviving are grandchildren Kirby Dawson and wife, J’Lee; Krystal Dawson and Tyler Derstine; Ryan, Tyler, and Dylan Kallus; and Amy Labaj; great-grandchildren Ty, Tug and Tripp Dawson, and Margo Derstine, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
