Teena Darlene Whitten of Palatka Florida went home to be with her Lord and savior Saturday, December 4th, 2021 at the age of 66.
Teena lived her life serving God since she was twelve years old. She was the perfect advocate, always sharing her love for Christ with everyone. She was a member of Dunns Creek Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school. The class members held a special place in her heart, as she did in theirs. She praised, cried, rejoiced, listened, encouraged each member of her class. If she, her class, or community had needs they worked together as a team to lovingly provide. As a class, they carried each other’s burdens and cares.
She was born in Madison, West Virginia.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Flao Harold and Virginia Dare Whitten, brothers, Doug and Gary “Bear” Whitten.
She has left behind her brothers, Mike, wife Phyllis, Pat, wife Debbie, Ronnie, wife Sherry and Ricky Whitten and Cindy, sisters, Ollie Charlene Dolin, Marsha Whitten, and her sister-in-law, Rhonda Whitten.
She had many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces whom she loved and cherish dearly. Also, the love of her life Kenny.
She had multiple friends in Palatka, Florida, and West Virginia that she loved and cherished.
