Teddy ‘Ted’ W. Skrzypek, died Monday afternoon November 25, 2013. Ted was born May 28, 1926 in Vicksburg, Michigan a son of John and Mary Turek Skrzypek. During WWII, he served with the U.S. Navy. He had been lifelong Kalamazoo area resident and was employed with the Upjohn Company for 35 years before retiring. He loved hunting and enjoyed having his family over for Sunday dinners.
Ted was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Alice Murphy; and a half- sister, Rose Makowski. On July 7, 1951, he was united in marriage to Ferne A. Sherman Skrzypek who survives. Also surviving, 3 children, Judy Stephen Smith of Reed City, MI, Michael Judy Skrzypek of Mendon, and Matthew Julie Skrzypek of Vicksburg, MI; 9 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; a sister, Genevieve Pinkerton of Vicksburg; a brother, Stanley Violet Skrzypek of Three Rivers; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
