Ted Woodroof, Sr. 81, of Spencer, IA passed away on Sunday, November 19, 2017 at Cobble Creek Assisted Living in Spencer. Ted was born on January 12, 1936 to Clyde and Dolas (Grindstaff) Woodroof in Orrick, MO. He was united in marriage to Joyce Jenkins on December 12, 1965 in Miami, OK. He worked as a Commercial Tinner for many years. Ted enjoyed old cars. Over the years he has owned and fixed up several classic cars and trucks. In his younger years, he enjoyed watching and going to all kinds of car races. He was a big Kansas City Chiefs fan and loved to spend time with his family. He is survived by his wife Joyce Woodroof of Spencer; son Ted (Tammi) Woodroof, Jr. of Spirit Lake; daughter Cindy Ellenwood of Spencer; daughter Dolas Giesman of Athol, Idaho; 10 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; his mother-in-law Lillian Jenkins of Spencer; and his best canine Buck. He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers and 1 sister.
