Ted Curtis Stroud, 87, of Buckhorn, NM passed away on Tuesday, November 1, 2016 at his home.

Ted was born on July 14, 1929 in Los Angeles, California to Pat Wolfe and Dorothy Tenley. He had served his country honorably in the United States Arm during the Korean Conflict. He was a true cowboy who broke horses and competed as a Bronc rider in many rodeos. While in Wyoming, Ted worked in the coal mines as a heavy equipment operator. He had been a grant county resident for about the last 20 years. Ted loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing and camping, especially with his family.

Ted is survived by two daughters, Dorothy Talkington (Richard) and Jean Gregory (Gary); two grandchildren, Curtis Whitfield (Holly) and Cody Marin; and four great grandchildren, Hazel and Jasmine Whitfield and Isabel and Anicke Marin. Also surviving him is his dog, “Buddy”. Ted was preceded in death by his wife Rebecca; a daughter, Diane and a sister, Elaine Davis.
