Ted Lowry, Jr. 84, of Spirit Lake passed away on Saturday, December 23, 2017 at Accura Health Care in Spirit Lake.
Ted was born on June 6, 1933 to Ted and Viva (McCool) Lowry, Sr. in Harris. He graduated from Harris High School. He enlisted in the US Air Force on October 24, 1951 and was honorably discharged on October 23. 1955. Teddy was united in marriage to Marjianne Lenz on August 28, 1954 at the Lake Park United Methodist Church. He worked as a propane delivery man for Northern Propane and the Style Craft Furniture until his retirement.
He loved to ride motorcycles and had his pilots license. He cherished the time he spent with family, especially his grandkids. He loved doing woodworking and making many trucks and cars.
He is survived by his wife Marjianne Lowry of Spirit Lake; son Ted (Jeanie) Lowry of Garderville, NV; son Terry (Lea) Lowry of Converse, TX; son Rick (Terry) Lowry of Spirit Lake; daughter Janie (Paul) Molendorp of Spirit Lake; 12 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, father in law Herb Lenz, mother in law Marjorie Lenz Wolthuis, sister Patricia Meyerdirk brother Bob Lowry, brother in laws Glen Meyerdirk, Don Dillehay, Verland Sorenson, and Stan Albers.
