Ted Hartman Poore, 65, of Salisbury passed away Tuesday January 31, 2012 at Rowan Regional Medical Center.
He was born June 22, 1946 in Saltville, VA a son of the late Thora Hartman Poore and Roy E. Poore, Sr.
On March 3, 1972 he married the love of his life Kathy Hicks Poore.
He was a graduate of R. B. Worthy High School. Mr. Poore was employed as a project manager for over thirty six years with Fluor Daniels located out of Greenville, SC. Some of his hobbies included fishing and working. He had been a member of the Spencer Moose Lodge since 1976.
The lights of his life were his daughters and grandchildren whom he loved dearly and enjoyed his place at Carolina Beach.
Left to cherish his memories are his wife Kathy Hicks Poore of Salisbury, three daughters: Pamela Yarber of VA, Buffy Marlowe and husband Mark and Jody Morgan and husband Jeff all of Salisbury; one brother: Roy E. Poore, Jr. and wife Helen of Greensboro; four sisters: Norma Taylor and husband Mickey of Kernersville, Marlene Yontz and husband “Red” of China Grove and twins Judy Heath and husband Buster of VA and Janet Hylton of VA; four grandchildren: Brittany Atwell, MacKenzie Morgan, Mason Yarber and Landon Yarber.
