Ted Grabala, 57, of Higganum, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, June 25, 2016. He was the beloved husband of Alina Grabala for 32 years. Ted touched the lives of everyone around him with his kindness and generosity. A graduate of Central Connecticut State University and Akademia Wychowania Fizycznego in Wroclaw, Poland, Ted enjoyed athletic competition and was an accomplished athlete in both hockey and tennis. His competitive spirit was only matched by his sense of adventure and eagerness to travel the world. His ambition and passion for life helped him build Alta Insurance Agency into a successful business and provide a wonderful life for his family. Ted was a loving husband and a wonderful father. He was loved by so many and will be greatly missed. In addition to his wife, Ted leaves his son, Matthew and his wife, Magdalena; his brothers: Andrew and his wife, Dorothy and their son Adam, George and his wife, Bozena and their children Barbara and Lukasz; his sister-in-law, Isabella Kastelik and her husband, Marek and their children Ania and Maciek; his loving father and mother-in-law, Stanislaus and Nina Markiewicz; his beloved aunt, Alicja Piotrowski and cousins: Barbara Urban and her husband and Steven, Ann Vorderbrueggen and her husband, John; several nieces and nephews and countless close friends.
