Tara Lynn High, 52, of Dowagiac, died peacefully Thursday, September 12, 2013, in the Timbers of Cass County, Dowagiac. Tara was born May 25, 1961 in Niles, Michigan to James and Geraldine (Stephenson) Snyder. Her mother preceded her in death. Her father survives.
Tara owned the Movie and Game Depot and Tara’s Tanning, both in Cassopolis. One of her favorite things to do was to spend time with her grandsons. Tara put everybody else first. She cared for many family members, including her dad and an aunt. She was well known for her smile, her positive outlook and her perfectly styled hair. She and her constant companion, her dog, Mati, could be seen early every morning getting her coffee before opening her businesses for the day.
Tara will be greatly missed by family and friends. She is survived by two daughters, Mandy (James) Bowers of Cassopolis, Krista (Jeremy) Corey of Cassopolis, two grandsons, Tyler Bowers and Michael Corey; her fiance’, Ken Tinch of Cassopolis; her father, James Snyder of Dowagiac; one sister, Jeanne (Neil) Carter of Stevensville; one brother, Jeff (Mary) Snyder of White Pigeon, and a host of nieces and nephews.
