Tanya Ann (Parrott) Reichelt, 76, of South Windsor, formerly of Manchester, passed away on Sunday, August 26, 2018 after a four-month battle with cancer.
Tanya graduated from Manchester High School in 1959 and attended Middlesex Hospital School of Nursing where she obtained her RN. She has resided in South Windsor for the past 20 years. Tanya loved life. She danced and later taught dancing which was her love while in school. She was active in the Girl Scouts and traveled with Troop 1 on their semi-annual trip to Europe. Tanya loved to travel and traveled to many areas of the world. She never finished all her travels she had on her bucket list. She loved to paint and her family always looked forward to a framed holiday gift every year. Tanya worked in her family’s business, RoVic in Manchester and in her later years she was employed at Bank of America where she made many friends who continued to meet for their lunch outings even after retirement. Tanya was a talented seamstress and her family treasured her handmade gifts.
She leaves her two devoted sons, Mark and his wife, Kim, of Wayland, MA., and their two children; Ben and Anika, and Jon and his wife, Laura, of Manchester, and their four children: Ashley Gurzler and her husband Jacob, Zachary Reichelt and his wife Vanessa, Emily Carlson and her husband Corey and Matthew Reichelt, four great-grandchildren; Hunter, Griffin, Samuel and Grant, two brothers and sisters-in-law; Roger and Teri Parrott of South Windsor and Michael and Linda Parrott of Manchester and her niece Elizabeth Parrott and her son Jacob. Tanya leaves many friends and neighbors whom she felt were her extended family. Her family thanks them for their love and support throughout her Illness. She was blessed to have you in her life.
