Our beautiful baby boy, Tanner Stephen Gerritsen, returned to heaven Monday morning, April 19th 2021. He fought valiantly for life, and taught us so much in the short time he was with us.
Tanner was born to his parents, Stephen Wirthlin Gerritsen and Lindsay Mortensen Gerritsen. His parents went through the IVF process and did everything they could to help bring Tanner and his twin sister into this world. Tanner’s sister left us only 7 weeks into the pregnancy.
Tanner was perfect in every way. He found a special place in the hearts of his parents that will never be replaced. They are so thankful for the knowledge that families are forever and they will see him again.
Tanner is survived by his parents; his grandparents, Bryan and Becky Gerritsen and Matt and Kathy Mortensen; two great grandmas, Rene Harbertson and Joan Paul; 7 aunts; 9 uncles; and 33 cousins.
His parents would like to thank all the family and friends who sent positive thoughts and prayed for Tanner. They would also like to thank all of the doctors and nurses who helped Tanner and his mom at Lakeview Hospital.
