Tania Lynn Newman, age 49, of Newnan passed away on December 21, 2020 at Emory Hospital Midtown in Atlanta after a valiant fight with lung and brain cancer and vascular disease. She fought hard over the last two years, but was unable to fight any longer. She was born on July 15, 1971 to Mr. & Mrs. Joe Newman, Jr. and lived all of her life on Thomas Powers Road in western Coweta County.
She was extremely proud of her roots and where she was planted. To know her was to love her. She brought joy and happiness to everyone who knew her and most everyone did. She never met a stranger. When she did meet someone new, they became fast friends. Tania will be remembered for her positive and encouraging attitude through some of the darkest days of her life. She never gave up and fought hard right up until the end. She will be greatly missed by so many.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Newman, Sr., her maternal grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Paul Strength, and her Godparents, Mr. & Mrs. Carl Jackson. She is survived by her parents, Mr. & Mrs. Joe Newman, Jr., one son, Nicholas Ward Newman and his fiancee, Cassie Gaddy, sisters, Kathy Newman Sewell (Kee), and Kristi Newman, brother, Joe Newman III, nephews, Matthew Moore, Joe Newman, IV, and Brody Newman, nieces, Brooke Parmer (Tyler), Morgan Moore, Camille Newman, and Katie Haynes, and one great niece, Ellysyn Raine Parmer. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, December 26, 2020 at Oak Hill Cemetery in Newnan, GA.
