Tammy Jean Mitchell-Gray, loving mother, daughter, grand-daughter, sister, and dear friend to many, was born June 5, 1962, to Henry and Juanita Mitchell. She was the seventh of seven children.

Tammy graduated from John F. Kennedy High School in Cleveland, Ohio, furthering her education at Cuyahoga Community College. For several years she was employed at Cleveland Clinic of Occupational Health.

She married the love of her life Earl Gray in August 1994.

Tammy was loved by everyone she encountered because of her infectious spirit. She loved, loved her family. She sincerely loved helping people and caring for children, She loved to dance and was the life of the party until her final days. She was independent, strong, caring and one of the best people you could ever know.

Tammy confessed Christ at an early age and joined Assembly Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Willie Judy, She later joined New Light Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor R. W. Sales.

At the age of nine, Tammy was diagnosed with diabetes which she lived with all her life. Finally, God sent his angel of love, who touched her and said “It’s time to go and reside at your new home.” And on Saturday, November 5, 2022, surrounded by family she closed her eyes and peacefully transitioned from labor to reward. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, her son Miquel Mitchell, her husband Earl Gray, her sister Diane, and her three brothers Gary, Kenny, and Ronny.
