Talisha Christine Adams (Lisa), Earl’s Big Baby as he still refers to her, was presented as a gift to Earl and Yvonne. Her warm and ever smiling face was a source of great comfort and courage to all who came to know Lisa, and she will be warmly remembered.

Lisa was educated through the Montgomery County Public School system. While being educated, due to her love for Jehovah, Lisa boldly witnessed to her teachers. Because of her witnessing, the school invited Frank Jordan, an Elder from Lisa’s congregation of Jehovah Witnesses, to give her graduating class commencement speech. This was a source of great honor and pride for her; because many would get to hear about Jehovah, the God she loved. After graduating she began her career with Montgomery County’s ARC program, where she remained until her day of rest.

Even though Lisa had many physical and mental challenges that caused some to shun her, she never allowed it to prevent her from reaching out and showing love to everyone she met.

Although legally blind, at her Christian meetings Lisa would take pages of notes and write what she would call, “Her letters to Jehovah.”

Without being able to read she learned to sing all the Kingdom Melodies and she did not hold back from singing them.

One of her greatest passions, besides eating, was dancing. Put on the music and Lisa was on the floor dancing and singing. Even if she was out there alone;she would have a good time.

Another of Lisa’s joys was making and presenting family members with her arts and crafts she made while on outingswith her Caregiver Ms. Vivian. When Lisa returned from her outings, she wouldtalk for hours about what theyhad done. Ms. Vivian became like a second mom to her. When Ms. Vivian had to return to her Country she lovingly placed Lisa in the hands of her daughter Nanna. Nanna lovingly embraced Lisa and continued on with her mother’s tender-loving work.

Lee Lee, as our family often refers to her, will be remembered lovingly by her parents, Earl and Yvonne Adams; sisters, Christina and Viola, nephew, Omari, nieces, Zoie and Nevaeh, aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of other relatives and friends, all with whomshe createdmemorable moments and special bonds. She will be greatly missed byhercousin Monica, with whom she shared an extra special bond. Born in the same year they grew up together and never grew apart. Lisa embraced Monica’s children as her own. As a family they would spend time baking and building gingerbread houses and going to the beach.

We are very comforted by having the same resurrection hope which Lisa had. We look forward to God’s earthly paradise where she can be awakened from her rest.
During Lisa’s life she had many special people there for her, one was her cousin Monica. Monica and Lisa grew up together from infancy.
