Talbert (Tom) Keys passed away October 20, 2012 at the age of 83 at his home in Carriere, MS with his family by his side.. Tom is preceded in death by his father Talbert Keys Sr. and mother Verna Keys of Percivil, Iowa. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Roxanne; children Michael, Kelly and Patsy and their spouses Kathy, Cheryl and Wayne; grandchildren Lee Marie, Candice, Robby, Stephanie, Jimmy, Amanda, Kim, TJ, and Alex; great-grandchildren Michael (Dante), Luke, Kaylee, Jessica, Kayla, Omi, Leah, and Keercie; and his sister Ruby. Tom was proud to be a retired Chief after serving 23 years in the United States Navy. After his retirement from the Navy, he continued to serve his country as a civil service employee for 20 years working at the Naval Reserve Personnel Center, New Orleans. He then retired full time and continued to enjoy life as a husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Other favorite past times were spending time with his family, fishing, traveling and yard work.
