Sylvia Waits Lightsey, 77, of Keystone Heights, passed away on Sunday, December 5, 2021, at her home following a brief illness. She was a native of Jacksonville and had lived in Keystone Heights since 1994 coming from North Carolina. Sylvia had worked as a supervisor for BellSouth and was a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star of Florida as well as the Keystone Garden Club. She enjoyed crafting, reading, and quilting. Sylvia was of the Baptist faith.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Doyle Lightsey, son Michael Lanehart, and parents, Wilbert T. and Gertrude E. Waits.
She is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Lightsey of Keystone Heights, sister, Vicky Perryman (Raymond) of Bremen, GA, grandchildren, Daphne Johnson (Scottie) of Keystone Heights, and Mathew Fowler of Hampton, FL, and great-grandchildren, Dominick Rodgers and Alexander Johnson.
