Verrilli, Sylvia Marino Pagliarulo Verrilli, age 88, of Bridgeport, passed away at her home of 56 years with her loving family by her side. She was predeceased by her husband, of 56 years, Anthony Verrilli thirteen months ago. Born on June 19, 1917 to the late Salvatore and Frances Pagliarulo in Avellino Italy she arrived at Ellis Island in 1927. She was a devoted mother who worked as a seamstress throughout most of her life after raising her three children. Her happiest times were spent with family and friends. She enjoyed meeting new people, as she went back to work at the age of 67 years old where she was employed at the Dock Stop and Shop until she was 73 years old. Left to cherish her memories are her two beloved sons, Paul Marino and his wife, Cheryl of West Haven and John Verrilli who was her caregiver since the death of her husband, her beloved daughter, Deborah Alves and her husband, Joe of Stratford, her beloved and dearest sister, Vera and her husband, Frank Palazzo of Stratford, her brother, Patsy Pagliarulo and his wife, Patricia of Trumbull, a special niece, Sylvia Palazzo-Cassese and her husband, Vincent of Stratford and several other nieces and nephews, four grandchildren, Anthony Marino and his wife, Andrea , Paul Marino , Danielle Bickey, and Michele Harper and her husband, Michael, three great-grandchildren, Brianna and Stephanie Marino and Chase Harper. She was predeceased by her sister, Rose Misurale.
