Sylvia J. Guy, age 58 of Big Rapids, passed away Friday, October 18, 2013 at her home; for nearly three years, she had bravely fought a battle with cancer. Sylvia was born February 9, 1955 in Big Rapids, the daughter of Leo and Jane (Kindred) Drews. She was employed as a supervisor for Fluid Routing Solutions in Big Rapids for over 38 years. Sylvia will be forever missed by her loving family; including her husband of 24 years, Michael Guy of Big Rapids; her three children, Lisa Wilkinson of Big Rapids, Brandon Vaughn of Big Rapids, Mary Guy of Detroit; grandchildren, Christopher Cousins, Autumn Cousins, Aaliyah Jeffery, Deona Parker, Landon Parker, Austyn Vaughn, Angel Vaughn, Lane Vaughn; three sisters, May (George Parrish) Fuhrman of Stanton, Mary Nowlin of Big Rapids, Ilene (Billy) Bair of Big Rapids; Mother-in-law, Marcella Guy of Tawas and many nieces and nephews. Sylvia was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, John Drews and a brother-in-law, Phil Nowlin.
