Sylvia was a life long resident of Alameda, New Mexico in grandma Tulles’ house. She attended Alameda Public Schools from grades 1-8, she graduated from St. Mary’s Catholic School. After high school she attended Western School and took a secretarial course.
She had three jobs in her lifetime: Skaggs Drugs for two years, The Credit Bureau of Albuquerque for 33 years and her most important job was taking care of her parents Jesus and Eloisa.
Sylvia loved to shop, travel, eating at Chick Fil A where they knew her by her first name, and Rudy’s BBQ on Coors where they not only knew her by name but they considered her part of the family. She also loved to go on vacation every year with Mae and the family to Los Angeles, San Diego, and Denver.
She kept a journal of everyday life. She would write what she did that day, what she ate, prayers for her family and friends, and she would end each daily entry with “Good night Jesus, Mary, Joseph and all the heavenly saints”. She would always make special letters on her typewriter and would write poetry and enter it in poetry contests.
Sylvia was a devoted catholic, her love for the Lord Jesus Christ was amazing. She had no fear of anything because of her love for God.
She loved all of her family. Her Deborah Ann was her everything. They had a special bond and connection that was amazing.
Sylvia is now free and roaming Heaven, so happy and at peace with our Lord Jesus Christ and her family. They got to spend her birthday together in Heaven!!
She will be greatly missed.
