Sylvia D. Walters, 85, of 629 Fourth Avenue, died Monday, September 21, 2009 at Manor Care South, where she had resided for three years.
Sylvia was a bookkeeper for the former Mid-Penn Magazine Company for many years. She was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church and attended Central Baptist Church. She graduated from Renovo High School, enjoyed bowling and liked the NY Yankees and Penn State.
Born June 10, 1924 in Renovo, she was the daughter of Orville and Blanche Fleck Walters.
Surviving are her sisters, Jane Lucas of Orlando, Fla., Verna English, with whom she lived, Betty Heincelman of Huntersville, NC, Twila Starr of Muncy Valley, Rosalie Barton of Niceville, Fla. and Joyce Foresman of Allentown; and many nieces and nephews.
Sylvia was predeceased by sisters, Erma Poe and Dorothy Moore.
