Sylvia A. (Gilbar) Smith, 78 of Manchester, CT, widow of Milton W. Smith Jr., died Monday, August 22, 2016 at her home after an extended illness.
Sylvia was born in Hitchcock, VT on February 17, 1938, daughter of Douglas G. Gilbar and Christine D. (Ryea) Gilbar. She was raised in Vermont and had been a resident of Manchester for most of her life. Prior to retiring she had been employed at Quality Name Plate as a parts inspector.
