Father of Carmela Collongues, Michael Collongues, Albert Collongues, Alyson Boling, Shannon Collongues, and Sharon Maggio. Admired grandfather of Nina Teff, Tracena Marie, Christopher Collongues, Bethanie & Cory Collongues, Dustin & Brooke Boling, Megan, Grant, & Kiefer Collongues, and Bradly & Alexis Maggio. Adored great grandfather of Emma, Jack, & Alec Teff. Brother of Dolores Hartman, Melvin Collongues, and the late Joyce Corne. Companion of Jane Lamkin. Preceded in death by Rose LoCicero Collongues and daughter, Christine Marie Collongues. Sylvan was a U.S. Army Veteran and a retired Captain of the New Orleans Fire Dept. He was also employed by the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office, New Orleans Coroner’s Office, and Avondale Shipyard, where he was a Fire Chief.
