Sylva Gorneault, 79, of Forestville, beloved husband of Juliette (Michaud) Gorneault, passed away on Wednesday, November 11, 2009, at the Alzheimer’s Resource Center of CT.
He was born March 2, 1930 in St. Agatha, ME, son of the late Fred and Gertrude (Bouchard) Gorneault. A resident of Forestville for the past forty three years, Sylva was a carpenter and also worked at Stanley Tools in New Britain. He was a member of St.
Besides his wife, Juliette, he is survived by his five children, Carol Flotat and her husband, Raymond of Winsted, Gary Gorneault and his wife, Darlene of Springfield, MA, Regan Gorneault and his wife, Cathy of Leyden, MA, Steven Gorneault and his wife, Rita of Forestville, and Sylva Gorneault and his wife, Janice of Bristol; his two brothers, Norman Gorneault of Plainville and Larry Gorneault of Green Sea, SC; his two sisters, Judy Dolan of Plainville and Noella Bernier of Wallagrass, ME; ten grandchildren; five great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his grandson, Hunter; his three brothers, Clifford, Stanley, and Roland; his two sisters, Gladys and Irene.
