Mrs. Syble M. Hood, age 82, of Lanett, AL passed away on Friday, October 21, 2016 at her residence.
Mrs. Hood is survived by her three children, Herbert Lee (Lucita) Hood, Jr. of Huguley, AL, Angelia (Jeff) Henderson of Valley, AL, and Teresa L. Meeks of Warner Robins, GA; her six grandchildren, Joey Hood, Wesley Hood, Craig Shelton, D.D. Miller, Brandon Jagielski, and Christopher Jagielski; her fourteen great grandchildren, Jasmine Hood, Jolee Hood, Kieran Hood, Caleb Shockley, Kaitlyn Shockley, Timothy Lee, Cody Shelton, Gabby Strength, Hope Miller, Cam Miller, Jayleigh Shelton, Mason Jagielski, Lucas Jagielski, and Gage Jagielski; her four siblings, James (Pat) Johnson, Queenie Glass, Doris (James) Hood, and Bertha Faye (Charles) Smith; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Lee Hood, Sr., her grandson, Jamey Shelton, three siblings, Florence Pierce, Lavada Duncan, and John Wesley Johnson, Jr.
Mrs. Hood was born on September 1, 1934 in Alabama. She was a loyal and active member of Lanett First Church of the Nazarene where she held numerous positions over the years. She and Mr. Hood were the former Owners/Operators of Hood’s Flea Market in West Point, GA.
