Sybil Richard, 86, of Valparaiso, Florida passed away on March 9th, 2015 at home. She had fought a brave battle with cancer since 2013. She was a loving and caring mom, grandma, sister and friend who had a great heart and was loved by many. She will be missed and forever be in our hearts. She is survived by her daughter Melissa Simpler, her son David Richard and his wife Donna, her grandsons Brandon Simpler, Keith Richard and Alex Richard, and two sisters Nancy Rice of Georgia and Joanne Rice of South Carolina. She was preceded in death by her husband Howard N. Richard, her son Louis Richard and her sisters Hilda Hammond, Gloria Daniels and Jean Gay. We would like to send a special thank you to our wonderful friends and neighbors for being there at this difficult time. Everyone who brought food or anything to help out, everything was greatly appreciated. Thanks to all the doctors and nurses at Emerald Coast Cancer Center, 21st Century Oncology and Dr. Bradley at FWB Medical Center. Thanks to everyone at Covenant Hospice who came by and helped with the care of our mom. She was the best mom and grandma and we will miss her dearly.
