Seymour “Sy” Greber, 86, of Phoenix and formerly of Sun Lakes, passed away March 18, 2012. Born February 25, 1926 in Bronx, NY, Sy will be remembered for his great sense of humor, his warmth and his respect for others. He was the Original Post Commander of the Jewish War Veterans Copper State Post #619 in Chandler and a Past President of Sun Lakes Jewish Congregation. A Radioman, Second Class, Sy was a proud member of the U.S.S. Ticonderoga CV14 Alumni. Sy was preceded in death by his loving wife of almost 60 years, Shirley, in 2010. He will be greatly missed by his two daughters, Ileen Herberg of Phoenix and Andrea (Alan) Levenson of Florida, and four grandchildren, Geoffrey, Maryn, Amy and Andrew.
