Suzanne Y. Bouloy passed away peacefully in her home on Monday, September 19, 2022.
She is preceded in death by her parents Thomas Raymond and Mary Claire (Galligan) Young, husbands: Deodato J. Bouloy, Richard Carleton Ames, Capt. U.S. Army (Korean War), six siblings and grandson Joshua Bouloy.
Suzanne is survived by her children: Greg (Kathleen), Claire (Stephan), Brian (Carol), Raymond (Marianne); grandchildren: Kaitlin, Sarah, Jonathan, Brooke, Jacob, Bryce, Brhett, Jared, Chase; great-grandchildren: Asaf, Bella, and another great-granddaughter on the way.
Suzanne was born on April 30, 1927, in Denver, Colorado. She attended Blessed Sacrament School, Cathedral High School and Loretto Heights College where she graduated with a degree in English. During her young adulthood, Suzanne worked as a teletype operator at Lowry AFB and taught kindergarten. She would later in life help to support her family by working as a substitute teacher.
As a young Korean War widow, Suzanne ran into Deodato J. Bouloy, a handsome native of British Honduras serving in the U.S. Army at Fort Carson, Colorado.
Suzanne was an intelligent woman and a devout Catholic who imparted her strong moral foundation into her four children, whose lives are testimony to her legacy.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to long-time friends and neighbors David and Audrey Northrup and caregivers Viola Cordova and Gary Cole for their compassionate and exceptional care of Suzanne during the past few years.
