Mrs. Susie (Toobie) Ward, age 85, of Niceville, FL passed away at her home where she joined her Lord and Savior peacefully. Susie was born in Valparaiso on March 21, 1928 and has been a long time resident of the Twin-Cities area, graduating from Niceville High School in the class of 1947. Susie was a member of the reunion class attending annually over the course of the last 66 years to reunite with friends and families.
Susie is survived by her husband, William E. (Billy) Ward; her two sisters, Nellie McCollough, 99, of Val-P and Mary Lee Collins, of Tampa; two sons, Davey Ward and wife Bess, Scott Ward and his wife Lisa; grandchildren, Gaston and Will Ward, Angelica and Ashley Ward; two great grandchildren, Serenity and Liam Ward. Toobie will be missed by all family and friends who shared her love, kindness, and gentle Southern hospitality at its truest art of living, achieved alone by those who’ve learned the victory of giving.
